Green Coffee and Supply Chain; - November 11, 2021

This is the first of an ongoing held virtually on November 11th. The Coffee Women’s Colloquium is a place where industry experts who are also women will share their insights on set topics ranging from green coffee to sustainability storytelling to business strategy. Each session will be moderated by a USWIC board member, is open to anyone, and will have time for Q&A at the end.

As well, thanks to sponsor Pacific Foods, each speaker will be well-paid for their time (an important gesture when historically female expert panelists are underrepresented and underpaid). https://www.uswic.org/events The first topic is Green Coffee and Supply Chain; representatives from each key stakeholder role will share their experience working with the international coffee supply chain. Moderating is USWIC Board Member Emily McIntyre, Founder and CEO of Catalyst Trade, a sustainability-focused Ethiopian coffee importer. The speakers for this event bring decades of experience to the table! They are:

  • Amaris Gutierrez-Ray, Joe Coffee and dedicated producer advocate at The Women in Coffee Project

  • Stephany Dávila-Hermeling, Founder Coffee Farmer’s Alliance

  • Phyllis Johnson, Co-Founder BD Imports & Founder of the Coffee Coalition for Racial Equity (CCRE)

  • Abigaile Munoz, Operations Quality Control / Certified Q Grader at Monarch Coffee in Hawaii
