Partnering for Impact: USWIC and Covoya Launch Formal Collaboration to Support Women in Coffee

At U.S. Women in Coffee (USWIC), we believe in the power of connection, collaboration, and shared purpose. That’s why we’re proud to announce a new partnership with Covoya Specialty Coffee—an importer that shares our deep commitment to gender equity and sustainable sourcing across the coffee value chain.

Together, we are working to create more visibility, opportunity, and direct market access for women coffee producers—starting with a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support Covoya’s Café Delas program.

Why Covoya?

Covoya’s Café Delas initiative aligns beautifully with our mission to empower women in coffee and recognize their leadership across the supply chain. The program sources exclusively from women‑led farms and channels a direct premium—along with cash, equipment, and training—back into those producers’ hands. It’s not just about recognition; it’s about real support and long-term change.

From gender traceability to capacity-building in origin communities, Café Delas reflects the kind of values-driven model we want to amplify in the U.S. market.

Building Momentum Together

This partnership began to take shape at the 2025 Specialty Coffee Expo in Houston, where USWIC and Covoya co-hosted a packed panel discussion:“Real Solutions from Women Across Coffee’s Value Chain.”

The session brought together industry leaders from every link of the chain—production, importing, roasting, retail, and education—to share lived experience, challenges, and breakthrough solutions. [Watch the full panel recording here.]

What’s Ahead

As we move forward, this partnership will focus on:

  • Storytelling that highlights women producers and their coffees

  • Educational programming that brings actionable insights to USWIC members

  • Market engagement that opens doors for women-led supply chains

This isn’t just a shared mission—it’s a shared movement. And we want you to be part of it.
